Everybody has peculiar characteristics. For instants, I call everybody who’s name I don’t know Bob, I sing “in the jungle” whenever somebody asks me to sing a song and the more I drink, the louder I start speaking.

Everybody has funny and odd characteristics, but till what point can you change them. With that I mean your own personality. Not because your boyfriend is always wearing a fugly sweater, or your best friend who forgets all about you when she’s with a guy.*

Everybody wants to change something about themselves. But where to start…

  1. I think the first step is Acceptance, acknowledging that you have the nagging habit to distrust every person you meet while there is no reason for it.
  2. Second step Motivation. If it’s not health problems that motivate you, then avoiding heartache.
  3. Last and final step Action. Change the habit, try to make a better one.

But for most people the second step will be an obstacle, I know it is for me. If you can’t find the motivation to change it, then I guess your third step will be acceptance again.

The other day I ran into Bob in the street while singing “In the jungle” out loud after leaving a bar…
