The other day me and a friend were talking about destiny. He told me that all of his life events, disappointments, accomplishments and rejections, have led him up to this moment, obviously. And he really believed it. I don’t know yet.
I think you can always wonder “what if”. But we’ll never know. Does destiny mean that there is someone who directs your life, so that our entire life is settled before you live it?
I sometimes have eye-opening moments at the most unexpected times. I never really believed in one religion. I do want to believe that there is some kind of power that we can not touch. Because without that, live seems pretty one-dimensional to me. And it would also scare me if all my beloved ones who died aren’t in any universe, that they are just gone.
My eye-opening moment was while sitting in the bus reading an article about the evolution theory. I think my religion is science. I believe this earth is older than, for example, christians believe. So how can you explain your power, you might ask. I think, like gravity, this power is always there. Only you can’t touch it or can not find it with science.
I admire some people who really believe in their religion, live by it rules, especially since those rules were made hundreds of years ago, without the modern society threats.
Does this mean I’m an atheist? Because I do have my believes, but it has no name, nor rules. Can you call that “religion” destiny? I’m young and influential, so maybe I haven’t found my religion yet. Any thoughts?
