Yes, here is a list of my favorites. No, unlike Oprah, I can’t do give-aways, but I hope they’ll inspire you. I’m no literary critic, so this is just a list of books I enjoy reading.
- I love Jack Kerouacs style. Though I started reading On the Road 3 times, the 3rd time I couldn’t stop reading. Another one of his books is And the hippos were boiled in their tanks, written with William S. Burroughs.
- Another classic is The Bell Jar from Sylvia Plath.
- The first book that really touched me was Desert Flower from model Waris Dirie. It’s a biography about her childhood in Somali. It describes her fleeing from her family and even more realistic her circumcision.
- The Help from Kathryn Stockett.
- And last but not least The Paris wife by Paula McLain. A story about Ernest Hemingway, but of the point of view from his first wife.
So, with winter coming, I advise you to get one of these books, crawl under the covers with a cup of tea and a snack. Enjoy reading!
